Average working hours: 39 hours per week. Its possible to work overtime upon agreement with employer ( usually +30% is paid for overtime work)
Holidays: typically, 20 paid days holiday per year.
Average graduate starting salary: CZK187,248 (around £9,066) per annum. However, salaries are generally higher in Prague, where there is also a large commuter workforce.
Tax rates: income tax is 12.5% in 2009. Employer pays social and health insurance contributions for foreign and domestic employees.
Requirements:
- Age restrictions: 18-45 years old.
- English on basic level for labor workers, advanced level for managers, professional level for senour managers and executives.
- Usually employers demand work experience in the same or related field
- Basic secondary school education for labor jobs
Documents needed
- scanned passport copy ( first and last pages).
- latest educational degree or diploma course diploma ( related to future work in Czech) attested by notary and appostiled in Ministry of Foreign Affairs/ Ministry of Education.
- copy of birth certificate.
- medical check up certificate with a seal of doctor or hospital ( documents with signatures of doctor and without seal are not acceptable).
- power of attorney attested by notary and attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Processing time is 2 months upon getting all documents.
Duration of visa is 1 year, visa can be prolonged in Czech itself for 2 years continuously. After 5 years of living in Czech, a foreigner can apply for Permanent Residency that is given for whole life.
