Accomodation in Czech
Accommodation in Czech
The range of accommodations in the Czech Republic is really varied. It’s possible to find accommodations in hotels, pensions, rooming houses, independent apartments or houses, as well as favored tents or cabins in nature.
Accommodation in hotels
Renters are offered accommodation services in hotels in the Czech Republic with various quality and equipment. It is possible to choose five-star hotels, but on request for lower prices even two-star hotels are available, for example. With the falling prices, it is necessary to count on the rule of reduced equipment and service facilities.
Accommodations in hotels are usually quite comfortable, mainly because they usually arrange the possibility of eating quickly and well.
The largest range of hotels offered is in Prague, where worldwide hotel chains have built branches. High-quality hotels are found in all favorite tourist cities – Karlovy Vary, Ceske Krumlov, Brno, Mariansky Lazny, Plzen and Olomouc.
The prices of hotel rooms depend on the individual cities. Czech prices are comparably lower than in Western Europe. Additionally, outside of Prague and the main interesting tourist localities, accommodations are a little cheaper.
Accommodations
Pensions are usually equipped with a smaller living capacity. You can find them in cities (private accommodations) or, for example, also in winter resorts. Sometimes, even whole houses are changed into pension accommodations in the winter ensuring privacy and easy accessibility to sports and are fully equipped for living.
Pensions are often a cheaper option of accommodation than hotels. They offer a smaller amount of services, but on the other hand, they have a family atmosphere. The prices also usually go along with the locality and infrastructure of the given area.
Motels
Even in the Czech Republic, motorists can relax in well-equipped motels after a hard day. They mainly appear on highways and freeways. They usually offer services for meals; however, they are oriented on the premises of accommodations.
Some motels also offer services for automobiles, such as carwash or auto service.
Private accommodations
Private accommodations are probably offered in every city in the Czech Republic. It is often one of the most comfortable types of accommodation. It can be arranged either directly with the owner of the home who uses the possibility of accommodation by private advertisements (e.g. advertising board at the home) or with a real estate agency.
Quality accommodations and the extent of accessory services is then only up to the agreement between the owner and his guests. The price is also set, of course, on the concrete agreement.
Rooming house
Rooming houses are among the cheapest types of accommodation in Czech Republic. It is usually with fewer facilities, but with a large capacity of beds in the room. They are usually sought out by cyclists or traveling students.
They don’t usually have restaurants and bathrooms are shared by several rooms. You can also find accommodation in a higher category, which have modern equipment and the comfort of the lodgings are substantially higher.
Campsites
You can also often find campsites and camps where you can rent tents, cabins or even caravans. These facilities are mainly for undemanding tourists. You will find a very specific atmosphere and friendly spirit here. The prices are in most cases very low considering that the campsites provide a very limited spectrum of services for guests.
